    Current Reads: November 2018

*This post contains my current reads for November 2018. I post these Current Reads articles around the middle of every month and they are inspired by Anne Bogel @ modernmrsdarcy.com I hope you all have had a great reading month so far. If not, we still have half of November left! Here are the great books I’ve read recently.  The first book I finished this month is The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin.  I loved this book so so much. It was the perfect ending for this trilogy. My reader heart is very satisfied with this one. Justin is a master of description. This book wasn’t boring. It was…

How to Find Amazing Content Creators

*In this post I walk you through my steps to find and decide if content creators are worth my attention. This is a rather unconventional post, but my husband asked me to write it. So, here I am. Step One: Pick a topic. I know, this sounds so elementary, but it’s important. Without picking a specific topic you really don’t know where to start your search. Your topic can be anything that you are interested in. Books, gaming, cooking, science, space, cats, etc. If you are interested in something there’s likely someone else who has created content for it. Step Two: After you pick your topic of interest head over to Google,…

    November 2018 TBR

*Today is the first day of November! All you book lovers know what that means. New TBRs! I have just a few books on my list this month. With the holidays just around the corner I’ll be surprised if I get more than what’s on my TBR finished.  My November Reading List Although my book list is small it’s filled with some quite hefty books. I am really excited to read all of them, but the top of the list is A Court of Mist and Fury. I read A Court of Thorns and Roses last month for the #charmsextracredit. I loved it! I read it in about a day…

October 2018 Wrap Up and Book Haul

*I didn’t read as many books as I wanted to this month. But, I exceeded expectations in the book buying department! To keep this post at a reasonable length I’m not going to include covers of the books I bought. All books will be linked to Goodreads. Books I read in October 2018 I read eight books in October. Four of them were for the #charmsextracredit and the rest were just because I wanted to.  View this post on Instagram What a month October was!🤔 •• I didn't get much reading done in October but I did read a few books so that counts as a good month for me!…

    Fall Reading: My October TBR

*Disclaimer: I am having a lot of trouble getting book covers to format correctly with Gutenberg. So this post has no actual pictures, but each book is linked to Book Depository. (These are not affiliate links. It’s just a way for you to see the cover images until I can figure out Gutenberg.) I really pick books based on their covers so if you’re like me just click the links to see all the pretty covers.* It’s officially fall. I’m so excited for the change in season. The fuzzy socks, comfy pants, and never ending cups of coffee are in full effect. So are all the yummy smelling candles and…

    Current Reads: September 2018

*This is a link up post to Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Quick Lit, that she posts on the 15th of every month. It’s all about books and reading. The Books Here’s what I’ve been reading lately. Three of these books are absolutely phenomenal. One of them I read 3 pages of before I put it down. I’m going to do this “What Should I Read Next?” style. I’ll give you the three books I loved and the one book I hated. That’s right, I’m not afraid of the “h” word. The Books I Loved: So Good They Can’t Ignore You, By: Cal NewportThis is the best business book I have read this…

Being Authentic in a Counterfiet World

authentic:1. not false or copied, genuine, real2. representing one’s true nature or beliefs; true to oneself 3. reliable, trustworthy4. authoritative Have you ever encountered an authentic person? Somehow we just know when we are in the presence of an authentic person. They are aware of their limits but live in spite of them. They don’t let the things that aren’t perfect about them slow them down. We feel really good when we are around such a person. We even start to act a little more authentic. We say more meaningful things and we are kinder to others. It’s a good thing to be in the company of an authentic person. …

    Wrap Up: August 2018

*disclaimer: this is a really geeky post that is about books I read for a Harry Potter themed readathon. If you don’t like Harry Potter then just read this for the book recommendations. If you really don’t like Harry Potter then just skip this and look for my next bookish blog post. Also, all book images are from Goodreads. This was my first N.E.W.T.s Readathon. Well, this is the first N.E.W.T.s Readathon. So that would make sense. 😆I had a lot of fun doing this readathon. I knocked a big hole in my TBR. Even though a lot of these were re-reads I had fun reading like I was in high…

(Because it’s available on any platform this makes transferring my pictures almost effortless. No Bluetooth, SD card, or USB cord required) This month when I downloaded July’s pictures…
